Listing on Nearby Electricians is free, and verification is the whole product. We build county-by-county directories that homeowners find when they search for electrical help, and every company we show carries its license type, number and status on the page.
You are probably already here
We build electrical contractor listings from each state’s own published license roster, not from submissions: the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR), California’s Contractors State License Board (CSLB), Washington’s Department of Labor & Industries (L&I) and the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry (DLI). If your company holds a current electrical contractor license and the state’s file carries a usable phone number, you are likely listed already. Search your company name to check.
What a listing shows
Your company name as the state licensing agency files it, your license type and number, the expiration date the agency publishes, the date we last checked, the county of record, and your phone. If your own website shows the phone number or license number on that record, we link to it. Nothing else is implied. We do not write a description of your work, and we do not publish a service area you have not told us about.
Claim your record
Claiming lets you correct the phone number, tell us the work you take on and the ZIP codes you actually serve, and keep the record current. What you tell us is shown as what you told us — labeled as provider-declared, never dressed up as something we verified. A claimed record is left alone by our importers, so your corrections are not overwritten on the next roster refresh. Claiming does not move you up a page: ordering is driven by verification strength, and there is no paid placement on this site, now or later.
Why your company might not be listed
The most common reasons are that the state’s file shows the license as expired, or carries no usable phone number for it. We do not publish a listing a homeowner cannot act on, and we do not guess contact details. Both are fixable: renew, or tell us, and we will re-check against the state’s record.
What we ask of you
Keep your license current and your phone answered. That is the whole deal. We do not charge for listings, we do not sell leads to whoever pays most, and we do not run a pay-to-rank tier.
Claim your listing
Tell us which listing is yours and what should change, and we check your license number before we touch it. Claiming is free and does not change where you appear: order is set by verification, and there is no paid placement.
