Electricians in DeSoto County, Florida.

Electrical permit fees, forms and process

Whether a job needs an electrical permit is the call of the county or municipal building department with jurisdiction over the address, and the official who issues it must confirm the contractor is certified or registered and meets any local requirements. A certified electrical contractor may contract anywhere in Florida; a registered one only in the jurisdiction its registration covers. One exemption is the owner-builder: an owner acting as their own electrical contractor on a single-family or duplex home for their own use, not offered for sale or lease (Fla. Stat. § 489.503(6)).

Permit guides here are written per city, because that is who issues them.
